Place apples in a baking dish. Mix brown and white sugar, flour, salt, and oatmeal, work in the butter until the mixture is crumbly. Spread evenly over apples and bake in a 350 degree oven until browned and the apples are tender. Serve warm with cream or cold with whipped cream
