Divide crescent roll rectangle in half at seam. Place on wax paper pinching the seams closed. Put sausage on each rectangle and roll up, then roll in wax paper.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Cut into 1/4 inch thin slices. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
Rolls may be frozen and sliced with an electric knife. I sliced with a sharp knife after leaving out of freezer for about 5 minutes. An electric knife would probably work better, but I didn’t have one.
