     Christmas Ornament Cookies

Ingredients
3 3/4 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 c butter (or margarine)
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla (or almond extract)
 
Frosting-
1/3 c butter
3 c powdered sugar
3 Tbsp milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Instructions
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Beat butter, sugar, eggs & vanilla until light & fluffy. Stir in dry ingredients. Chill 2 hours. Heat oven to 400. Roll to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes. Place on greased cookie sheet & bake 6 to 8 minutes. Cool and frost.
Frosting- mix together ingredients and blend until creamy. Divide into 4 bowls and add food coloring as desired.
