Beat Butter at low speed until creamy. Slowly add in cornstarch and powder sugar. Switch mixer to medium speed and beat until fluffy. With a spoon stir in flour.

Cover and chill for 45 minutes to 1 hr or overnight (if you do chill overnight take dough out 1 hr prior to working with it).

Prepare the icing mixture. Make dough into 1 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet about 1 1/2 inches apart. With finger press slight indentation on top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes until cookie is firm but not browned. Cool cookie and top each with a spoonful of icing.

For any event you can change the extract to fit . Christmas, baby showers etc... You can also add a few drops of food coloring to the icing.
