In a microwave, melt 3 oz white candy coating; stir until smooth. Add sugar, vanilla and cereal. Chill for 2-3 hours or until easy to handle. Shape into 1" balls; set aside. Melt chocolate and shortening; dip balls in melted chocolate and place ona wire rack over waxed paper. Let stand for 15 minutes or until set. Melt the remaining white candy coating; cool for 5 minutes. Drizzle over truffles. Chill 5-10 minutes or until set. Cover and store in refrigerator.
