loaf stale French bread
1 quart milk
3 eggs
1 cup raisins
2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 stick butter for lemon sauce
1 c. sugar for lemon sauce
1 beaten egg for lemon sauce
c. lemon juice for lemon sauce

SOAK- loaf stale French bread 1 quart milk When soaked, crumble and set aside. Next, beat- 3 eggs 2 c. sugar 2 tsp. vanilla Then add- 1 cup raisins and the bread. Mix well. In a 9X13 inch cake pan, melt 1 stick butter. Pour mix over butter in pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve warm with Lemon Sauce. LEMON SAUCE 1 stick butter 1 c. sugar 1 beaten egg c. lemon juice Mix together in a saucepan and cook until thick. Pour Lemon Sauce on top of bread pudding
