     Chinese Marinate

Category   Entrees - Maindishes
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/8 cup oil
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions
Mix all together. Best if it stands at room temperature for 6-12 hours before marinating. Marinate meat 1-2 hours before grilling.
Especially good with pork but also good with beef.
This is Nairn's favourite way to have pork. He has eaten many, many meals at the Sloan's table, and as he says 'this is the best'. He thinks it may be one of Sophie's old recipes, but whatever, Arlene is a great cook and we are all very grateful to be able to add this simple, but delicious marinade to our cookbook.
