     Hot Rum Sauce

Ingredients
1 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
1.5 cups water
1/4 cup rum
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla
 

Instructions
Mix water, sugar and cornstarch and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, mix in rum, nutmeg and butter. Simmer for 2 minutes. Add vanilla, stir and serve hot over Christmas pudding.
