     Baked French Toast - Caramel

Ingredients
1 stick margarine or butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
12 slices bread
6 eggs
1½ c milk
 

Instructions
Melt margarine or butter. Add brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread evenly into a 9x13 pan. Place bread in 2 layers over the butter mixture. Mix eggs & milk and pour over the bread. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Uncover and cook 10 minutes more. Serve upside down.
Note- 6 slices of Texas toast (thick slices) can be substituted for the bread.
