     French Apple Pie

Pillsbury ready made raw pie curst
6 C. peeled and thinly sliced Granny Smith apples (about 2 lbs.)
3 T. lemon juice
1/2 C. plus 2 T. flour
1 C. sugar
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. ground ginger
1/4 t. nutmeg
1/4 C. butter

Place pie crust in 9 inch pie plate and flute edges all the way around with tines of fork. Peel and thinly slice apples and mix with lemon juice in large bowl. Add 2 T. flour and 1/2 C. sugar, mix well. Fill pie shell with apples.
Combine 1/2 C. sugar, 1/2 C. flour, other spices in small bowl.
Cut in 1/4 C. butter with fork until crumbly and sprinkle on top of apples.
Cover edges only of pie with foil and bake at 375 for 30 minutes on top of cookie sheet. Remove foil and bake another 30 minutes.
