     Mushroom Gravy

Ingredients
1/4 cup or 1/2 stick salted butter
1/4 cup flour
1 cup beef broth or stock
1 cup fresh, sliced mushrooms
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
 

Instructions
Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium heat, whisk in flour slowly to make a smooth mixture (roux). Heat until bubbling, stirring continuously.
Whisk in broth slowly, heat until bubbling, reduce heat to medium-low.
Stir in salt, pepper, and mushrooms, cook on medium-low until mushrooms are soft on the outside, stirring continuously.
Serving Suggestions
Serve hot on burgers, grilled chicken, or whatever else you want. Even good by itself.
