     Rhubarb Cake With Caramel Sauce

1/4 C. butter
1 C. sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp. hot water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 C. nuts
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 C. flour
2 and 1/2 C. chopped rhubarb

Mix all together and pour into a pie pan. Bake 45 min. in a 350 degree oven.
Serve with caramel sauce- 1/2 C. butter, 1/2 C. brown sugar, 1/2 C. white sugar, 1 Tbsp. flour, 1/2 C. whipping cream. Boil and add 1 tsp. vanilla.
