     Oatmeal Raisin Nut Cookies

2 sticks softened butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups uncooked oats
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well.
Put the following dry ingredients in a bowl and stir to mix: flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Add a little at a time to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix well.
Stir in Oats. Mix well. Add raisins and nuts. Mix well.
Form dough into 1" balls. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. To keep the bottom of the cookies from getting too dark, move oven rack to a higher position in the oven. Bake 10-12 minutes. Remove to a wire rack to cool.
