Set aside 1/4 c cake crumbs for topping. Divide remainnig crumbs into four portions; sprinkle on in a trifle bowl or 3 qt serving bowl. Combine milk, pumpkin, pudding mixes and spices; beat until smooth. Spoon half into the serving bowl. Sprinkle with second portion of crumbs. Beat cream until stiff peaks form, spoon half into bowl. Sprinkle with third portion of crumbs. Top with remaining pumpkin mixture, then remaining crumbs and whipped cream. Sprikle reserved crumbs around the edge of the bowl. Garnish with cherries if desired. Cover and chill at least 2 hours before serving.
