Soften butter; add the 5 tablespoons powdered sugar and work until light and fluffy. Add flour, ice water, nuts and vanilla. Mix well. Cover and chill at least 2 hours. Take heaping teaspoon-sized portions and mold into crescent shapes. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 300 for 30 mins. Cool then roll in powdered sugar.
