4 apples, peeled and sliced (or 1 cup blueberries or strawberries)
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon water
17.25 oz frozen puff pastry squares (5x5)
1 cup confectionary sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
Combine water and lemon in a bowl and put sliced apples in the mixture to keep from browning. Melt butter in large skilled. Drain apples and cook in skillet 2 minutes. Add brown sugar and cinnamon and cook 2 more minutes. Stir together cornstarch and 1 tablespoon water. Pour into skillet and mix well. Cook another minute. Remove and cool slightly. Preheat the oven to 400. Take pastry sheet and spoon apples into the center. Fold to create triangle. Press edges. Bake 25 minutes. Glaze with confectionary sugar, milk and vanilla and drizzle over cooled turnovers.
