     Custard Sauce

Ingredients
2 Cups Milk
3 Egg Yolks
1 Tablespoon Cornflour
1/3 Cup Sugar
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
 

Instructions
METHOD- 1. Scald 1 3/4 cups milk (reserve ¼ cup) over low heat.
2. Beat egg yolks, add sugar, corn-flour, and salt. Add the ¼ cup milk.
3. Slowly add egg mixture to scalded milk, stirring. Continue to cook, stirring, until a coating forms on the spoon. Cool and add flavouring such as vanilla if desired. (can be cook over double boiler).
