Cut apples in small pieces and remove core. Put the cut up apples into a pan with sugar and cinnamon and water. Cover the pan with the lip and cook at medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes. Let apples cool. Mash apples with fork or blender. Refrigerate or freeze.
Original recipe called for 1/4 c sugar. Use more or less sugar, white or brown, to your liking. Can also use more or less cinnamon depending on your preferences.
