Cook the roast and onion together. Break up the roast. Mix last 4 ingredients together and mix in with meat and onion. Heat on 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes or until heated through.
Julie suggested (and I like the suggestion!) to grill the onions and add them to the final 4 ingredients. I have cooked the roast ahead of time (seasoned with salt, pepper, and some minced onion) and then put the roast in a crock pot, added in the remaining ingredients (along with the grilled onion) and cooked on low for 2-3 hours.
