     Fresh Apple Cake

Ingredients
3/4 cup salad oil
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
 
3 cups peeled and chopped raw apples
Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
3 Tablespoons warm milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions
Prepare apples. Mix oil, sugar and eggs until creamy. Add flour, salt and soda, vanilla and baking powder. Beat well. Stir in nuts. Bake in greased 9 x 13 pan at 350 for 50-55 minutes. Glaze- Put powdered sugar in small bowl. Add warm milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add powdered sugar or milk to create desired consistency. Glaze should be able to be drizzled on cake.
Serving Suggestions
Cut in squares and serve with cool whip or ice cream
