Preheat oven 325 degrees, line muffin tins.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Cream butter and brown sugar on medium speed until fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating until each is incorporated. Add vanilla. Mix and scrape sides. Add flour mixture in 3 batches, alternating with 2 additions of buttermilk, beating til combined.
Divide batter evenly among lined cups. Fill 1/2 way full. bake for 25 minutes.
