     Banana Nut Bread

1/3 C. Butter or margarine
1 3/4 C. Sifted flour
1/2 t. Salt
1/4 C. Chopped pecans
1/2 C. Sugar
1 t. Baking powder
1 C. Mashed ripe bananas
2 Eggs
1/2 t. Baking soda

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with bananas blending. Well after each addition. Stir in nuts. Pour into well greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 or 50 minutes, or until done. Remove from pan and cool on rack. Wrap and store overnight.
