     Buttermilk Pie

Ingredients
2 cups of sugar
1/4 cup of flour
1 tsp vanilla
3 eggs slightly beaten
1/2 cup of margarine, melted
3/4 cup buttermilk
one 9 or 10 inch unbaked pie shell
1-1/2 cup Heavy Cream
5 Tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup
 
3 Tablespoons Light Corn Syrup
1 Tablespoon Whiskey (can Add More If Desired)

Instructions
Mix the first 6 ingredients together, beating well, and pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake in a slow oven until set and well browned. Bake about 45 minutes at 325 degrees. If the top is brown but not set then cover will foil and continue baking.
For the sauce- combine cream, maple syrup and corn syrup in a saucepan and stir to combine. Cook over medium-low to medium heat, stirring constantly, for 15 minutes or until sauce is reduced and thick (sauce should bubble slightly as it's cooking). When sauce is thick, remove from heat and stir in whiskey. Return to heat for a couple of minutes stirring constantly.
