Melt the almond bark/chocolate in the microwave at 30 second intervals stirring between each interval until fully melted. Add the vegetable shortening to the almond bark/chocolate and stir until it is melted. Add the cake mix to the almond bark.chocolate. Pour the coating onto the popcorn and evenly coat the popcorn. Pour the popcorn out onto a cookie sheet to cool and harden. Sprinkle immediately with your choice of sprinkles after it has been spread out on the cookie sheet. Wait until fully hardened and store in an air tight container.
