Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   None
Preptime   20 mins.

Ingredients
5 ozs. high-quality dark chocolate, chopped
10 T. butter
2T. ground guajillo chili pepper (or red pepper)
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. corn syrup
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 c. flour

3/4 tsp. baking soda

Instructions
Adjust oven rack to middle and preheat to 350.
In a small saucepan over low heat melt chocolate and butter with chile, cinnamon, salt and corn syrup, stirring often. Set aside to cool.
Line a 9x9 metal baking pan with foil or parchment paper. Create lip over sides of pan. If using foil, grease lightly with cooking spray.
In mixing bowl, combine melted chocolate mixture with sugar. When combined and cooled slightly, add eggs. Mix until smooth, then fold in flour and baking powder. Transfer to pan and bake until I brownies feel firm, about 30 mins.
