     German Potato Salad

Ingredients
1/2 lb. bacon
1/3 cup vinegar plus water to make 1/2 cup
1 egg; slightly beaten
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
5 cups potatoes; cooked and diced
1/2 cup onion; chopped
 
Instructions
Cook bacon until crisp; crumble.
Combine 1/3 cup bacon drippings with next 5 ingredients. Heat and stir until thickened.
Add potatoes, onion and bacon. Toss and heat through.
Serve warm.
