Combine Flour and Salt; Cut in Shortening. Add
enough milk to egg yolk to make 2/3 C. Mix Well.
Stir into Flour Mixture. On Floured Surface, Roll
1/2 dough to 17x12. Fit into and up the sides of 15
1/2 x 10 x 1 pan. Top with apples. Combine Sugar
and Cinnamon, Sprinkle on top of apples. Roll
remaining dough 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 and place over
apples. Seal edges. Cut slits on top. Beat egg white
till frothy, Brush on crust. Bake 375, 50 min.
Combine 1 C powdered sugar, 3/4 tsp Cinnamon,
milk. Drizzle on bars.
