     DOUGHNUT PUFFS

Ingredients
2 cups sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. mace
1 tbs. baking powder
1/4 cup liquid shortening
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
 
Fat for frying

Instructions
Sift dry ingredients together. Add liquids, oil, milk and egg. Stir with a fork until thoroughly mixed. Drop by teaspoonfuls into deep hot fat oil about 375 degrees and cook bout 3 minutes or until golden brown and done. Drain on absorbent paper. Roll warm puffs into cinnamon sugar mixture.
