     Brown Sugar Smokies

Category   Appetizers
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
1 pound Bacon
1 - 16 oz pkg little smokie sausages
1 cup Brown Sugar

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut bacon into thirds and wrap each strip around a little sausage. Place the wrapped sausages on wooden skewers, several to a skewer. Arrange the skewers on a baking sheet and sprinkle them liberally with brown sugar.
Bake until bacon is crisp and brown sugar is melted. Great cooled or right out of the oven. The more brown sugar the better!
Hint- wrap the night before and put in a covered bowl with brown sugar, toss well and let marinate overnight. Then covering with the sauce they create, bake until crisp. It can take up to 45 minutes. Turn half way through cooking time. Be careful to watch them as they burn easily.
To serve, place wieners in a slow cooker to keep warm.
