     Funnel Cakes

Ingredients
1 2/3 cups all purpose flour
1/4 teas. salt
3/4 teas. Baking Soda
1/2 teas. cream of tartar
1 qt. Oil for frying
2 Tablespoons' white sugar
1 egg
 
1 cup milk
1/4 cup confectioners' sugar for dusting

Instructions
Beat egg and milk. Beat in flour,salt,baking soda,cream of tartar, and white sugar until smooth.
Heat about 1" cooking oil in fry pan 375o degree Pour 1/2 cup batter through funnel into oil with circular motion to form sprial. Fry to lightly golden brown turn over brown other side . Remove to drain on paper towels sprinlke with confectioners' sugar while still hot
