Mix softened cream cheese and sugar together, using electric mixer. (This will be difficult at first, but keep mixing). Spoon into pie shells. Top with pie filling. Sprinkle nuts onto pie filling. Spread Cool Whip over nuts. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
