Boil (microwave) sugar and water for 1- 1 1/2 min and reduce by half just before
crust done. Brush on crust just as it comes out of oven to seal.

Put 2 cups- washed berries into saucepan and mash. Combine
sugar, cornstarch and salt and add to mashed berries. Cook over
medium heat until thick, stirring constantly.

|
Place remaining 2 cups of uncooked berries in pie shell.
Sprinkle with 1 T sugar. Pour cooked berries over berries in pie
shell. Refrigerate until cool . Top with whipped cream.
