1 can crushed tomatoes (15 oz)

1 can tomato paste (small can-7 oz?)

small handfull of spinach, fresh basil (both optional)

bay leaf (optional)

Instructions |

|
Use garlic press to crush the garlic; Finely mince the onion; Cut
green pepper, removing seeds and chop the pepper.

Heat canola oil in a skillet. Cook garlic (don't heat too high--careful
so it doesn't burn); add onion and cook for a bit; then add green
pepper.

|
Add the can of tomatoes and the tomato paste. Stir thoroughly. Add
bay leaf, spinach, basil; cook until the spinach and basil are limp
and soft.
