     Spaghetti Bolognese

Ingredients
3/4 lb lean ground beef
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium carrot, chopped
3 cups of mushrooms, sliced
14 1/2 oz. can diced tomatoes
1 Tbsp. canned tomato paste
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. oregano
 
1/4 cup skim milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 lb. spagetti, cooked
Fresh basil-optional garnish

Instructions
1. Sauté beef and onions until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in carrots and cook about 2 minutes. Stir in mushrooms, tomatoes, tomato paste, basil and oregano.
2. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes.
3. Add milk and cook, uncovered, until thickened, about 15- minutes.
4. Season. Serve over pasta.
