     Chocolate Chip Ooey Gooey Butter Cake

Ingredients
CAKE BASE - 1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow cake Mix
CAKE BASE - 1 Egg
CAKE BASE - 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
FILLING LAYER - 1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese, softened
FILLING LAYER - 2 EGGS
FILLING LAYER - 1 teaspoon Vanilla
FILLING LAYER - 1 (16 ounce) box confectioners surger
FILLING LAYER - 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
TOPPING - 1 cup of chocolate chips
 
TOPPING - 1 cup choppped nuts (optional)

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 13x9x2 inch baking pan. First prepare cake base. Using an electric mixer combine cake mix, egg, and butter. Mix well and pat into the bottom of the pan and set aside.
Second Step is Filling Layer. Still using electric mixer beat cream cheese until smooth; add eggs and vanilla. Dump in confectioners sugar and beat well. Reduce speed of mixer and slowly pour in butter mix well. Pour filling onto cake mixture spread evenly.
Topping- Sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup of chopped nuts on top of filling.
Bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Don't be afraid to make a judgement on the baking time. Temperatures of ovens can vary. You want the center to be a little gooey.
