Cook in large skillet, sugar, water and syrup until forms hard ball in cold water. Add peanuts, cook until rich golden brown, stirring all the time. Add butter, salt and soda all together, stir into peanut mixture. Pour immediately into buttered pan. When cooled break in pieces.
