In medium bowl - Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon together.

In large bowl - Cream the butter and sugar until light. Add eggs one at a time, beating well between additions and adding 1 tsp. of flour mixture with each egg. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternatly with bananas, beating well until smooth. Stir in nuts (optional) and vanilla. Stir in chips (optional).

Pour batter into lightly greased and baselined 9x5x3" bread pan. Smooth top with back of spoon dipped into hot water.

|
Bake at 350 for 50-60 mins. Turn out, remove paper and cool on wire rack.

Serve sliced and buttered. Warm or cold.
