     Sweet Corn Bread

Ingredients
1 c. cornmeal
1 ½ c. sugar
½ tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 T baking powder
¾ c. margarine, melted
4 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. evaporated milk
 
4 egg whites, beaten until stiff
¼ c. butter

Instructions
Mix cornmeal, sugar, salt,flour, and baking powder. In another bowl, mix together melted margarine, egg yolks, vanilla, and evaporated milk. Combine with dry ingredients. Beat 4 egg whites until stiff; fold into batter. Bake in greased and floured 9 by 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes. After you take out cornbread, melt ½ stick of butter across the top.
