     24 hour Fruit Salad

Ingredients
1 large can pinapple
1 medium size bottle cherries
3/4 lb marshmallows
1 1/2 cups pecans
1 pt whipping cream
3 egg yolks
4 tbs vinegar
pinch salt
 

Instructions
Cut the pineapple, cherries and marshmallows into small parts.
Make a sour sauce by mixing the egg yolks, vinegar and salt in a double boiler and cook until thick, beating constantly.
Whip the cream stiff.
After the sour sauce is cooled, mix with the whipped cream. Pour over the fruit and nuts. Chill 24 hours.
