You will receive your starter in a zip lock bag---store it on your counter. DO NOT REFRIGERATE Day 1 Do nothing Day 2 Squeeze the bag several times twice during the day Day 3 Squeeze the bag several times twice during the day Day 4 Squeeze the bag several times twice during the day Day 5 Squeeze the bag several times twice during the day Day 6 Add to bag- 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup of milk. Seal the bag letting out as much of the air as possible. Squeeze the bag thoroughly. Day 7 Squeeze the bag several times twice during the day Day 8 Squeeze the bag several times twice during the day Day 9 Squeeze the bag several times twice during the day Day 10 Squeeze the contents out of the bag and into a large bowl. Add to bowl- 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of milk. Stir thoroughly and measure out four 1 cup starters into Ziploc bags. Give these starters to others with a copy of the instructions to enjoy.
To the small amount left in your bowl, add- 1 cup oil ½ cup milk 3 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla Mix well. In a separate bowl, mix- 2 cups flour 1 cup sugar 1 ½ tsp. baking powder 2 Tbs. cinnamon ½ tsp. salt ½ tsp. baking soda 1 large box of instant vanilla pudding (Optional, 1 cup nuts, raisins or chopped apples) Add all dry ingredients to the first mixture and mix well. Spray two loaf pans and sprinkle generously with cinnamon and sugar. You may also use a bundt pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until knife comes out clean. Tomorrow starts Day 1.
