Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly spray both sides of tortillas with cooking spray and sprinkle lightly with salt. Place tortillas in a stack on cutting board and cut into four pieces with a pizza cutter. Lay tortilla quarters out in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake chips 8 to 9 minutes or until crisp.
Bake tortilla chips are much lover in fat than the usual fried ones. If desired, use other seasonings in place of salt. A light shake of chili powder or package taco seasoning provides a more ethnic flavor. Sprinkles of cinnamon and sugar create dessert chips. If making nachos with the baked chips, consider using refried beans, grated cheese, diced tomatoes, salsa and sour cream.
