Cook all ingredients over medium heat stirring constantly to avoid scorching. Use candy thermometer to 300 degrees. It will start turning darker right at the end of the cooking cycle. Remove immediately and pour into a buttered pan. (I use the
E-z foil aluminum 11 1/4 x 7 1/4 x 3/4 in. pan. I believe they call it a biscuit pan) Take 3 plain Hershey bars and break into strips, lay on hot mixture. In a minute or two spread the chocolate over the candy with the back of a spoon. Sprinkle with finely chopped nuts. (opt.) When cool break into pieces.
