     STEAMED ASPARAGUS

Ingredients
2 lbs. asparagus, ends trimmed
salt and pepper
 

Instructions
In a large skillet over high heat, bring 1-inch salted water to a boil. Add asparagus in a single layer. Return to boil, cover and steam until crisp-tender, 3 to 6 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer to a shallow bowl or platter. Season with salt and pepper.
