Ingredients
1 peck green tomatoes
12 green peppers
3 lbs onions
5 lbs sugar
6 cups vinegar (to cook 1st time)
8 cups vinegar (for second cooking)
2 tblsp pickling spice (in bag)
3 tblsp salt
 

Instructions
Grind vegetables, sprinkle salt in about 3 layers. Let stand overnight. Drain and wash in cool water. Drain again. Place in kettle with 6 cups vinegar and bring to boil. Boil about 10 minutes. Drain well!! Place vinegar (8 cups), sugar and spices in kettle, bringing to boil. Than place vegetables in and bring to boil. Boil about 5 minutes or until clear. Seal in hot jars.
