Mix the sugar, salt, and flour together in a bowl.
Bring water, butter, and cocoa to a bubbly boil and then quickly pour it into the flour mixture and stir.
Stir in the eggs, sour cream, and baking soda.
Pour thin batter into a greased and lightly floured cookie sheet.
Bake at 375° for 20 - 25 minutes.
FROSTING DIRECTIONS (make after cake has cooled)
Bring milk, butter, and cocoa to a boil.
Remove from stove.
Pour in sugar, vanilla, and nuts.
Stir until smooth.
Pour onto the cooled cake.
