     FROSTY STRAWBERRY PIE

Ingredients
1 pkg. (3 oz.) strawberry Jell-O
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 pint vanilla or strawberry ice cream
1 baked 8 or 9 inch pastry shell, cooled
1 to 1-1/2 c. sliced or halved strawberries (use fresh strawberries or
1 pkg. (10 oz.) strawberry halves thawed and drained
 

Instructions
Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water. Gradually add ice cream, stirring until melted. Chill until thickened, but not set--15 to 25 minutes. Fold in strawberries. Pour into pie shell. Chill until firm--20 to 30 minutes. Garnish with whipped cream or prepared Dream Whip topping and additional fruit, if desired. Note- To hasten setting, decrease boiling water to 1 cup. If the pie is going to be chilled 3 to 4 hours, use 1 1/2 cups boiling water. If pie is to be chilled overnight, use 1 2/3 cups boiling water.
