Pastry for 8 in pie
1 can Lucky Leaf Cherries
1/4 cup juice from cherries
2 tblsp cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp butter or margarine
1 tblsp lemon juice

Drain cherries. Measure 3/4 cup juice and mix it with cornstarch. Cook until thick and clear, stirring constantly. Add sugar and salt and remove from heat. Add butter or margarine, lemon juice and cherries. Cool slightly. Pour into unbaked pastry shell. Apply vented top crust. Bake at 425 degrees about 30 minutes, or until nicely browned.
