     JEAN’S CROCKPOT BARBEQUE CHICKEN

Category   Entrees - Maindishes
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
1 frying chicken, cut up or quartered (can use chicken breasts)
1 can condensed tomato soup
3/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. vinegar
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. thyme

Instructions
Place chicken in crock pot. Combine all other ingredients and pour over chicken. Cover tightly and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Makes 4 servings. Note, I cut the chicken in pieces and place in my small roaster. I pour sauce over, cover, and place in 325 degree oven and it takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours. You can do 2 or 3 chickens in the roaster, in about the same amount of time, but you need one recipe of sauce for each chicken. I layer the chicken and pour sauce over each layer. You can also use just breast and thighs and it turns out well.
