     Melba Clark's Angel Biscuits

Ingredients
1 package dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup buttermilk
 

Instructions
Dissolve the yeast in warm water set aside. Mix dry ingredients then cut in shortening. Stir in milk and yeast mixture. Blend well than roll out on floured board. Cut into biscuits and let rise 30-45 minutes. Bake in 400 degree oven until brown.
