Melt butter in large saucepan. Chop onion and sautee in butter. Cut steak into small squares and add to onion. Salt & pepper meat. Brown in butter for 10-15 minutes until deeply browned. Continue browning until all liquid is gone but don't burn it.

|
Add water to cover meat, put lid on pan and simmer on low for 2 hrs to tenderize meat. Check every 15 minutes to make sure meat is simmering and there is enough water.

When meat breaks apart with a fork it is done. Remove lid and boil hard until liquid is almost gone. Add beef broth soup and boil for 3-5 minutes.

|
Add drained mushrooms and cm of mushroom soup. Heat until soup is hot. Add sour cream and continue to heat until it is also hot. If sauce appears thick, add milk a little at a time to thin to desired consistency.
While soup is heating, boil water for noodles. Add noodles to boiling water and boil for 10 minutes.
Serve sauce over noodles.
